What the Opportunity entails:
A warm, friendly and independent person with Downs Syndrome in her late 20s is offering a double bedroom and shared use of her flat in exchange for about 10 hours a week of practical help plus around 5 hours a week of additional companionship each week, and the reassurance from having someone living with her. There is other support in place too and a close family living near by. This person also works part time and volunteers.
This opportunity would suit someone who works or studies and would be able to give friendly support and companionship and diary management, over breakfast, in the evenings and a few hours at the weekends.
This person would welcome the friendly support of a Sharer who can help with daily routine, share cooking and eating some meals, help manage the flat, join them on some activities/outings, and flag up any concerns with family and their support team.
This person likes playing sport, going to the theatre, cinema, socialising and volunteering.
The ideal Sharer would be female, with a good sense of humour, non-smoking Sharer, native English speaker who is positive, friendly and organised.
The property is conveniently located just 20 minutes walk from Putney Bridge Tube station, with buses to Putney and Hammersmith a few minutes walk away.
£150 per month. Plus contribution to council tax/bills may be requested,
