What the Opportunity entails:
A warm, friendly and bright elderly person with an excellent sense of humour is seeking a second Sharer to join a friendly household and for give them some company and around 10 hours a week of practical help in their spare time in exchange for the low cost accommodation. This person would welcome some practical help such as cooking and eat some meals together, and perhaps occasionally go for walks. The person usually watches the 7pm TV news with a glass of wine, and then eats after that.
The property is a lovely large house well-situated in a residential area just a 5 mins walk from Kew Gardens BR station, and a short walk to the river.
The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom with shared bathroom.
The person was an artist, enjoys watching documentaries, has recently taken up knitting. There is a much loved cat in the house.
The elderly person is a coeliac they have to follow a gluten free diet. Favourite dishes include rice, vegetables, cheese dishes, such as cauliflower cheese, salmon etc.
We hope to find a good-natured, friendly and patient Sharer who will enjoy this opportunity. Clear fluent English essential. The ideal Sharer will work or study at home and able to give some help during the day. Please note NO ANIMALS allowed
We charge a monthly fee of £150 plus VAT [total £180] for doing this. No rent is payable on top of this, although you may be asked to make a monthly contribution of up to £25 towards bills/council tax [students are exempt from council tax].
