What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly, welcoming and ‘with it’ older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for
their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for
the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around
their home in the evenings and overnight. They are very independent but would also appreciate a little general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals, light cleaning and tidying, and ad hoc practical help, outings and errands as may be needed. There is a weekly cleaner.

The accommodation on offer is single bedroom (currently furnished with twin beds –
furniture can be re-arranged/taken out etc) and shared use of the shower room, kitchen,
sitting room and garden.

The property is in the village of Horning, near the river. It is close to Wroxham, a busy holiday town. Norwich is approx. 30 minutes’ drive to the west, and the coast approx. 30 minutes’ drive to the East. It is approx. 30 minutes’ drive to the University of East Anglia.

The person enjoys U3A, visiting the local sailing club, watching sport on TV, reading the newspaper and listening to Radio 4. They also enjoy company and a good chat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed
level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who
is happy to help around the home.
