What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would really value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight, in case of an emergency. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking a few evening meals each week, light cleaning and tidying (there is a weekly cleaner), putting out the bins, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, a shower room mainly for the Sharer’s sole use, and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and outside space.

The property is in an excellent location, just a couple of minutes’ walk from Exeter Central Station.

The lady is easy to talk to and enjoys watching TV, reading, crosswords, quizzes and playing Solitaire. She used to be in a book group and French group but her mobility makes those tricky now. She enjoys playing Scrabble.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
