What the Opportunity entails:
A bright, friendly and welcoming older person is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation. There is a cat, so a cat-lover essential.
This person would really benefit from some practical help around the house including cooking some meals and helping with household chores plus the reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings/overnight.
The accommodation on offer is a large room furnished with a single bed, large desk/vanity unit and plenty of wardrobe storage. There is a separate toilet and a bathroom (with bath and separate shower) which is mainly for the Sharer’s use except when the householder would like an occasional bath (they have their own en-suite shower room).
The person enjoys keeping up to date with the news, crosswords, watching dramas on TV, reading fiction and listening to Radio 4 or Classic FM. She is a keen painter and used to teach languages. They would love the company of someone who shares some of her interests for friendly and intelligent conversation. There is a piano that the Sharer is welcome to play, and lots of fiction books that the Sharer is welcome to read.
The ideal Sharer will be a, friendly and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests and is out to work.
