What the Opportunity entails:

A with it older lady with reduced mobility and who is very deaf is seeking a Sharer for her home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This lady would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help with things such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, occasionally taking her elderly dog for a (very short) walk, prompts and reminders, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be helpful. Clear spoken English is essential as this lady lip reads.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom with wardrobe, bedside table and dressing table, and its own bathroom, and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is in an excellent location very close to Bicester Village, just 15 minutes’ walk from the station, and less than 10 minutes’ drive from the M40 (Junction 9).

The lady enjoys reading the Daily Mail, watching TV (sport, dancing), crosswords, and pottering in the garden. She used to enjoy growing her own fruit/tomatoes and watching the birds and squirrels.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
