What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly elderly person who has memory loss is seeking a Sharer for their home to give her some friendly company and around 10 hours a week of practical help and 5 hours of companionship in their spare time in exchange for the low-cost accommodation. They are in their 80’s and would like the reassurance of knowing there was someone in the house.

The accommodation on offer is a double room in an apartment with plenty of wardrobe space, shared bathroom with bath and shower attachment. There is broadband and a washing machine and microwave.

The practical help would include some shopping, cooking and share some meals together. Some light cleaning and help to keep this person’s diary plus gentle prompts on how to use TV remote, etc around the house as they are living with Dementia.

This person is very sociable, a lovely warm person who enjoys watching TV dramas and listening to the Radio.

We hope to find a mature, reliable, trustworthy and friendly Sharer who is working or studying from home. We will only consider non-smokers.

The house is a 5 min walk from the Finchley Road which has shops and cafes and the Finchley Road Tube station.

£125.00 plus VAT (£150.00) per month plus possible contribution to utilities (£50 per month). NB Full-time students are exempt from Council Tax.
