What the Opportunity entails:

An older person with mobility issues is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would really benefit from the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings/overnight, as well as some practical help around the house with tasks they find hard, such as putting the bins out, help with laundry, changing light bulbs, picking up shopping, cooking a few meals and ad hoc other practical help and occasional outings.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished single bedroom with shared use of the walk-in shower room, kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is located in a village close to Wantage. Due to location a car driver would be best and preferred, but there is an express bus to Oxford that takes about 30 minutes.

The person enjoys reading the i-paper (especially the crossword) and playing games such as Whist, Cribbage and Scrabble. They also enjoy watching TV programmes such as Countryfile, Strictly Come Dancing and light detective dramas.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
