What the Opportunity entails:

An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight and a little time at the weekend; they would enjoy someone to chat to. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping (or taking them shopping if you have a car), cooking a few meals, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. This person eats Halal meat, loves fish and vegetable dishes.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double room, and shared use of the bathroom and kitchen, sitting room and lovely garden.

The property is in an excellent location close to buses and  Leicester General Hospital (15 mins bus), the A6, Leicester Airport (8 minutes’ drive) and 30 mins bus to Leicester City Centre. There is parking and a car driver would be preferred.

The person enjoys meeting people and talking to people. They like swimming (when they can) and take a keen interest in politics – all politics both national and international.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
