What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly and positive older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would really benefit from the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings/overnight. The would also appreciate some practical help around the house including top-up shopping, a little cooking and ad hoc other practical help around the house and errands

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, bathroom (shared with visiting family) and shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is located in Oxenholme, a couple of miles outside Kendal and around 12 miles from Lake Windemere. Oxenholme Station is a 7-minute walk away.

The person’s interests include reading the Times, playing games with their family, and watching thrillers and crime dramas.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
