What the Opportunity entails:

A positive and upbeat older person with reduced mobility and poor hearing is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping or prescriptions, perhaps cooking a few meals, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, changing light bulbs, taking the bins out, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, and shared use of the bathroom (shower over bath), kitchen and garden.

The property is in an excellent location just three minutes’ walk from Swiss Cottage underground station.

The person enjoys phone calls with friends and family and visits from their priest. They like to read historical fiction, watch the news, listen to the radio and sit in their garden. They live a quiet and peaceful life and are happy in their own company.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
