What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly older lady with poor short-term memory is seeking a second Sharer for her home and to give her a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person will work as part of a team with the other Sharer offering the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also appreciate some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking and sharing up to three/ four meals each week (the lady could help with the cooking), light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom shared bathroom.

The property is in an excellent location 1 mile from St Albans City Centre (approx. 20 mins walk), 1.2 miles from St Albans City Station (25 mins walk) and ½ mile from St Albans Abbey Flyer Station (10-15 mins walk). There is parking available.

A retired reflexologist, the lady enjoys listening to music, reading the iPaper, watching films (such as Harry Potter), doing jigsaw puzzles and playing games. They go to quite a few activities during the week and have lots of friends and family visiting.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests and works from home some of the week.
