What the Opportunity entails:
A warm and friendly older gentleman with some memory loss is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
They would really benefit from some practical help around the house including help with shopping, cooking, plus general practical help, shopping, errands plus the reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings/overnight.
The accommodation on offer is a good sized double bedroom with storage on the ground floor and shared use of the homes other facilities and garden. Please note the sharers bedroom is downstairs, using what would have been the dining room, there is a conservatory which has been added and this is used as the dining area. The sharers bedroom is a large room which will have a bed and mattress in it. There is a glass door and window from the Sharers room to the conservatory, there are curtains so there is privacy, there is another door onto the hallway.
The property is conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from Morden Station (Northern Line).
This gentleman is highly educated –a lecturer/professor, and a school head – and would welcome a bright and educated Sharer for company and conversation. He enjoys reading the newspaper and the garden.
The ideal Sharer will be a friendly, bright, helpful yet gentle person. Someone from Bangladesh would be wonderful, or from the Indian subcontinent, for shared culture and background. A non-smoker is essential, and as this gentleman is are there is no pork or alcohol allowed in the house.
