What the Opportunity entails:

A warm and friendly person who is blind is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of up to 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as setting up on-line shopping orders, cooking a few meals, light cleaning and tidying, reading correspondence and instructions when asked, and help with form-filling, perhaps mowing the lawn occasionally, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be useful.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, plus shared use of the kitchen and bathroom and garden. There will be a spare room that the Sharer can use as a separate sitting room.

The property is a 10-minute bus ride (or 25 minute walk) from Surbiton Station, and easy access to the A3.

The person enjoys football, current affairs, and reading and area easy-to-talk-to.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
