What the Opportunity entails:

A warm and friendly older lady with poor short-term memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ light help and friendly company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value and enjoy the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She has regular support, but would also like some light general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals each week, light housework, simple tech/finding TV programmes, to watch, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, shower room, and living area, and shared use of the property’s kitchen, main sitting room and garden.

The property is in the village of Wilsford, approx. 12 minutes’ drive from Pewsey. A car owner/driver is essential as there is no public transport. The is parking available.

The lady enjoys pottering in her garden, accompanying friends/carers on outings/shopping trips (she can no longer drive), pottering in her garden, reading the newspaper, listening to Radio 4, watching TV (old fashioned comedies, some comedy films), and used to enjoy playing games (and might like to again).

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
