An intelligent, educated older lady with arthritis is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
She would like some practical help with tasks such as picking up shopping, carrying heavier items, some cooking, simple IT, light gardening and ad hoc errands etc. She would value the friendly company from having someone living in their home.
The accommodation on offer is a single bedroom with own shower room and small kitchen plus shared use of the main kitchen, sitting room and garden.
The property is in Sunnymead, approx. 12 miles north of Oxford City Centre. There is a bus stop a short walk away, with regular buses to the city centre (total journey time 23 minutes by bus, 13 minutes bicycle), and approx. 15 minutes cycle to the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The lady loves wildlife and feeds the birds in her garden and also looks after hedgehogs (which she would love her Sharer to feed if she is away). She also enjoys getting out to do activities, walking, reading The Guardian, and watching some TV. She is very chatty and would like to share with a friendly person who enjoys a nice chat and is happy to lend a hand. It would be helpful if the Sharer had a car to run occasional errands.
As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
