What the Opportunity entails:

A friendly and ‘with it’ older lady is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She is quite independent, but due to age, reduced mobility and a few controlled health issues, she would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help (up to 10 hours per week) around the home such as shopping, cooking a few meals, healp with light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. (She has a cleaner).

The accommodation on offer is a single bedroom with wardrobe and desk, and its own bathroom, plus shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is in a good location approx. 10 minutes from North Wembley Station in one direction and Wembley Central Station (Bakerloo Line, Lioness Overground, Southern National Rail) in the other. Wembley Central has many shops, and the home is also only a minute or two’s walk from the green spaces of a park.

A retired Occupational Therapist, the lady listens to music on the radio, is interested in news and current affairs and watches TV. She enjoys phone calls with her friends, and goes to church sometimes too. She likes eating Afro Caribbean food and spicy dishes.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
