What the Opportunity entails:

An older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings, some day time availabilty and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, laundry, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a large bedroom, furnished with a single bed, some easy chairs, wardrobe etc, and own shower room. There is a bright shared kitchen and sitting room. The sharers bedroom is on a separate floor at the top of the house

The property is in an conveniently located just 10 minutes’ walk (or 5 minutes by bus) from Kentish Town Tube and Thames Link – Northern Line zone 20, and 3 minutes’ walk from Gospel Oak overground.  It’s also just a few minutes’ walk from Hampstead Heath (Parliament Fields).

The lady is bedbound and has care support.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s/lady’s/gentleman’s interests
