What the Opportunity entails:

An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking a few each week, light cleaning and tidying, laundry, carrying heavier items, reading labels, accompanying on occasional local outings, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a large bedroom with build in wardrobe furnished with two single beds and a large desk. There is a bathroom with bath next to the room, primarily for the Sharer’s use (occasionally shares with family guests). There is another bathroom with shower in the property that the Sharer can use too. There is also a good-sized kitchen, living space and garden.

The property is in an excellent location very close to Wimbledon Village with several bus routes, and 10-15 minutes’ walk or bus the heart of Wimbledon and the station (National Rail and Underground – District Line). It’s a lovely location close to the open spaces of Wimbledon Common and with many amenities.

The lady enjoys reading, walking, listening to classical music and the company of local friends and family.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study (although not from home) as long as you have  enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home
