The property is an excellent location in a residential area off Oxford Street, just a few minutes' walk from Bond Street Station
What the Opportunity entails:
An older lady with reduced mobility, vision and some memory loss, is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and some friendly company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight, and enjoy sharing some meals and going on some local outings with someone (eg for a coffee, to the local park).
She would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.
The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom, and shared use of the bathroom (being converted into a walk-in shower room), kitchen and sitting room.
The property is in an excellent location in a residential area off Oxford Street, just 2-minutes’ walk from Bond Street Station.
The lady has additional support in place including her daughter (and family) who visit regularly each week, a cleaner and another volunteer. Although having lived in the UK for over 60 years, she was originally from Cyprus. She enjoys listening to music, watching music and dance at the theatre/events, getting fresh air and conversation.
As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer young should be able to cook English/Mediterranean style food. They need to be patient, intuitive, kind, with some experience of Dementia.
If you are interested, please fill in the Sharer Application Form and we will be in touch and can then give you more details about this specific situation.
