Helpful HomeSupport is offered by our sister company Unity Living under the trading name Helpful HomeSupport. It has been recently launched in London to offer a thoughtful approach to everyday assistance. for those that either do not need someone living in or do not have a spare bedroom. HomeSupporters will help you in your home, making your daily life feel calmer, safer, and more enjoyable. HomeSupporters are practical, versatile and kind people who have the skills and personality to meet the needs of each individual client.
HomeSupporters offer a personalised service, working on a self-employed basis and arranging their time directly with you. The service is flexible, and cost-effective alternative to traditional care services. Importantly, it gives you the continuity of one familiar, trusted person who comes to understand your home, your preferences, and your way of life.
Who are HomeSupporters?
HomeSupporters provide discreet, reliable help with a wide range of household tasks. Anything from cleaning and meal prep to running errands and keeping your home organised. They can also accompany on outings or to appointments. And if you have pets they can assist with pet care including dog walking. For those who would value it, warm and friendly companionship can also be part of the experience.
Each HomeSupporter is chosen not only for their reliability, but also for their genuine desire to make a positive difference. They are fully vetted. Many are part-time professional, students, or recently-retired individuals who bring care and consideration to the homes and people they support.
Why Helpful HomeSupport
With Helpful HomeSupport, you have the reassurance of someone visiting to help you take care of you and your home. The service is very flexible. Clients can decide how many hours a week they require help (minimum of 2 hours per visit). There is also the option to having someone staying overnight on occasions. For example overnight reassurance can be particularly useful when returning home from a short stay in hospital.
Registration & Agency Fees
Helpful HomeSupporters are self-employed, and Helpful HomeSupport act as an introductory agency. Helpful HomeSupport believe in fair pay for great work, which means your HomeSupporter receives the full benefit of what you pay them, while Helpful HomeSupport simply charge a clear, straightforward monthly on-going Agency Introductory Fee.
When you first register , one of the team will call you to discuss your individual requirements, including the approx. number of hours you would like a HomeSupporter to provide each week.
- There is a one off charge Registration Fee* of £75.00+VAT (which includes your first month’s Agency Introduction Fee)
- Ongoing monthly Agency Introduction Fee of just 10%+VAT, based on what you pay your HomeSupporter
Pay Rates
Day Support
From £18.00 gross per hour, plus a 10%+VAT Agency Introduction Fee (minimum 2 hours)
Overnight Support (10-hour stay)
From £85.00 gross per night, plus a 10%+VAT Agency Introduction Fee
Overnight Support (12-hour stay)
From £115.00 gross per night, plus a 10%+VAT Agency Introduction Fee
Bespoke Service: If you have a more specific set of requirements, for example, needing help on a certain day of the week or a certain type of person, we offer a bespoke search.
To advertise for a HomeSupporter who matches your request we charge a Registration Fee of £200.00+VAT. Once a HomeSupporter is found, the on-going Agency Introduction Fee is as the same as our standard fee structure (10%+VAT).
