Available from: 10/1/2025
Opportunity Location:
Birmingham B14, the property is in King’s Heath to the south of Birmingham, very close to Mosely Golf Club and 30-40 mins by public transport to Birmingham City Centre.
What the Opportunity entails:
An interesting, independent and friendly older lady with some memory issues is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her a mix of up to 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.
She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. She is very independent and manages most things herself, but would appreciate someone who is willing to also offer general practical help too, such as picking up shopping, cooking a few meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, simple IT/tech/changing lightbulbs, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be useful.
The accommodation on offer is a single bedroom furnished with a chest of drawers, desk and chair, and cupboard space on the landing. The Sharer also has shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden. There is on-street parking.
The property is in King’s Heath to the south of Birmingham, very close to Mosely Golf Club and 30-40 mins by public transport to Birmingham City Centre.
The lady enjoys reading the Guardian, listening to Radio 4, watching a variety of TV programmes, going to the cinema, seeing friends, and doing the crossword. A retired teacher and lecturer, she used to do a lot of travelling and likes languages, especially Spanish. She enjoys Mediterranean dishes.
As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
If you are interested, please fill in the Sharer Application Form and we will be in touch and can then give you more details about this specific situation.
