What the Opportunity entails:

An older Italian lady with poor memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, prompts and reminders and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom at the top of the home with wardrobe, chest of drawers and separate room useful if someone was working from home on some days. The Sharer will have their own shower, and there is a kitchenette on the same floor for making a couple of tea, but the Sharer would also use the property’s main kitchen, sitting room and garden. It is a spotless home so this would only suit someone who is also naturally clean and tidy.

The property is conveniently located in Stockwell, just 10 minutes’ walk from Stockwell Underground Station (Northern Line and Victoria Line), and close to many bus routes.

The lady’s primary language is Italian, so someone who speaks some Italian would be an advantage. She enjoys watching Italian TV and looking after her lovely garden. She enjoys chatting to people, but will repeat herself. She can still cook simple meals but would enjoy someone cooking some meals for her (or with her). Nb She has a short-haired friendly cat that spends most of the time outside, and typically only comes into the property to eat and sleep
