What the Opportunity entails:

An older lady with some memory loss is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She enjoys having company and would value the friendly reassurance of having someone living in her home. Some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, keeping an eye on the fridge, cooking (for /with) and sharing around four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. Please note there is a friendly kitten.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom (that will be furnished with a double bed), and a bathroom primarily for the Sharer’s use. Also shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is conveniently located less than 10 minutes’ walk from Streatham Hill Station (trains to Clapham Junction 10 mins and to London Victoria 18 mins, and many bus routes), and 10 minutes’ walk to the open spaces of Tooting Bec Common. There are many shops nearby too.

The lady is Greek by birth but moved to the UK as a child so speaks perfect English. She likes to read the newspaper, listen to the radio, watch TV (films, quiz shows, soaps) and going out during the day. She also loves her kitten. She is sociable so also likes to talk to her friends on the phone, and has a supportive family too.
