What the Opportunity entails:

A lady in her late 20s with some neurological problems and chronic fatigue is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking shopping, cooking/helping to prep some meals, light cleaning and tidying, laundry, carrying heavier items, prompts and reminders, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. They would also enjoy sharing an occasional outing, such as to the theatre or on a nature walk.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished single bedroom with ensuite shower in an immaculate house, with shared use of the kitchen, sitting room and garden. There is Sky TV and fibre broadband.

The property is in Wickford, 15 mins walk from the station (mainline to London Liverpool street) and 20 mins drive to Shenfield where you can catch the Elizabeth Line. There is parking available.

The person works part-time as a music teacher. Their interests include baking cakes,  building Lego, listening to vinyl records, arts and crafts, meditation, nature walks, attending music and stand-up comedy shows, watching TV shows, such as Great British Bake Off, Strictly Come Dancing and Wallace and Gromit plus British Sitcoms (e.g. Alan Partridge and Gavin & Stacey) and various documentaries.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
