What the Opportunity entails:

A lady with memory problems is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight plus regular prompts and reminders. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking/helping to cook and share up to four meals each week, keeping an eye on the fridge, light cleaning and tidying, accompanying on some local walks/outings, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a doubled bedroom with double bed, built-in wardrobe, dressing table and chair, bedside tables and book case, and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is in Great Shelford to the south of Cambridge (15 minutes cycle to Addenbrookes Hospital or 30 minutes cycle into Cambridge city centre). There is parking.

The lady used to be a curtain maker and interior designer. She enjoys watching TV (Strictly Come Dancing, Eastenders, BBC dramas), listening to music (needs help and encouragement to put music on), exercise classes and keeping fit, and walking her dog (a friendly and lively young border terrier).

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker, who is happy to help around the home.
