"A friend of mine told me about Share and Care when I needed low cost accommodation. I thought that it would be an interesting experience but I was also a little nervous about the person I am going to stay with. Luckily, Mary turned out to be so great and friendly. Even if I had to move abroad, we still speak often! I miss our lovely afternoon tea sessions and having a pint of Guinness with her. It was a wonderful experience and I felt that I made a difference in a lonely elderly person's life especially during a tough period like lockdown. Of course avoiding super high rents in London was a huge plus. I recommend this scheme to those who have empathy and kindness in their hearts."
