Sharer who lived in a homeshare in Hertfordshire leaving June 2024
I hope this mail finds you well. I’m sorry it took a while longer to write a testimonial.Been trying to settle in and also cope with my workload.
Wow. When I first came across low cost accommodation I will admit that I was very skeptical, I thought there must be a catch…lol. Everything seemed too good to be true. That’s how the rest of my stay with A can be summed up: Too good to be true.
Being a support worker already, living with A made life much more enjoyable as we shared some things in common.I supported A to access the community, visit her family and shopping and numerous lunches out on birthdays, thanksgiving and exhibitions. Ann has a really supportive family and I engaged well with everyone I met at the house. Not a day went by without A checking on how my family back in Africa was doing.
During my stay with A, I managed to save up enough to buy my car which we used to drive in anywhere. I managed to support my family back in Africa, managed to do all processes involving their migration and I finally managed to secure good accommodation for my family who shall be coming to the UK soon.
I would not have achieved this if it wasn’t for Share and Care plus A, my journey has been amazing. I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for the support and affection I got from Share and Care, A and her family.
I have attached some photos of my time with A , she gifted me a keyholder and a chopping board for the car and house respectively. She and her sister visited me in my new home which felt rather special. A is really kind and compassionate, if it wasn’t for the family joining in I have no doubt that I would live there forever!
Many thanks
Sincerely
Lynn Maposa.
